YG Entertainment will take legal action against hackers who broke into pop artist G-Dragon’s private Instagram account, as well as netizens who spread malicious rumors about the Big Bang singer.
An official from the agency said on Wednesday, “We intend on taking full legal action against those that publicized G-Dragon’s private Instagram account. The content on the account was intended to be seen only by the artist and a select few acquaintances. Allowing the content to circulate is a severe criminal offense.
The private photos were taken without permission, posted on various online communities, and were misused and distorted. This inflicted additional harm to the artist.
We also intend on investigating and reporting those who spread malicious rumors to police authorities. These are all efforts to prevent future situations like this from happening in the future.”
The singer has been plagued by rumors that he is dating Japanese actress Komatsu Nana since the hacking incident on Sunday. The YG artist has remained quiet about the situation, opting to instead post a picture on his public Instagram account reading, “I can’t handle people anymore.”
