The 23rd World Korean Business Convention (HanSang) will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, next year, according to an announcement by the Overseas Koreans Agency and its Commissioner, Lee Sang-deok, on December 12 via its official website.
The event’s operating committee finalized the decision to hold the 23rd convention from April 17 to 20, 2025, at the Gas South Convention Center in Atlanta during an online meeting.
Commissioner Lee Sang-deok called on overseas Korean economic organizations to unite their efforts to ensure the success of the upcoming convention.
Sean Roh, Senior Vice President of the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce and Industry (President Kyung Chul Lee), stated, “The 2025 Korean American Business Conference that we have been planning and preparing for will now be held as the World Korean Business Convention.”
This marks the second time the World Korean Business Convention will be held outside of Korea, following the historic 21st convention in 2023, which was also held overseas.
The 21st convention, held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, California, in October of last year, was a resounding success. Inspired by the positive reception, many Korean business leaders expressed their hope for similar events to be held in the U.S. on an annual basis.
Building on this momentum, the FKACC had initially planned to hold the Korean American Business Conference in Atlanta in April 2025. With the recent announcement, it has been confirmed that this event will now be integrated into the 23rd World Korean Business Convention.
