The Wilshire Center Koreatown Neighborhood Council (WCKNC) has launched a new website to keep residents informed.

For the past two years, the WCKNC lost its ownership of the website as the majority of board members resigned, making it impossible to operate.

“Residents can check meeting schedules, activities, and share reports and opinions through the website,” the WCKNC stated in an announcement regarding the new website.

“The website provides translation services in English, Korean, Spanish, and Bangla for the convenience of residents,” the organization mentioned. “It is also connected to social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and KakaoTalk to deliver the latest news and event information.”

The new website address for WCKNC is www.wcknc.org.

At the top of the website, by clicking on “about us,” visitors can find a button to submit a complaint or question. There is also information on how to contact the organization, including a phone number (323-200-5532) and email addresses (lacitync@gmail.com, info@WCKNC.org).

Meanwhile, the WCKNC had lost ownership of its website to an election campaign since the pandemic, when a lack of member participation led to the suspension of meetings.

“We are pleased that the council is back in operation and hope that many residents will utilize our website,” said Mark Lee, chairman of the WCKNC. “The WCKNC will actively communicate the concerns of local residents and seek quick and appropriate responses from the government.”
