Sometimes even without eating too much, people suffer from bloating, gassiness, abdominal discomfort, or whatever you call it. If you want to eliminate any possible cause for bloating, read the following and see if anything applies to you.
1. Eating too much vegetables
If not associated with weight loss, nausea, or vomiting, bloating is usually caused by extra gas produced by certain food you consumed. Many of those food items include vegetables, such as brussels sprouts, cabbages, and carrots. Dairies with lactose and sugar and food rich in fibers may also cause bloating.
2. Drinking Diet Soda
Diet Soda and other sugar free products contain the sugar alcohols, such as mannitol, sorbitol, xylitol, lactirolm and maltitol. Consuming too much sugar alcohols may cause gassiness, or even worse, diarrhea. Best way to avoid bloating is to eat less sweets, because even real sugar can serve as a cause.
3. Or a plain soda
Carbonated drinks – soda, champagne, seltzer water, and others – expand in your stomach, which makes you feel bloated.
4. Constipation
Constipation is one of the main caused for the gas produced in your gut. Keep hydrated and exercise regularly to avoid constipation.
5. Stress
Stress calls for so many symptoms – bloating is not an exception. Not only does your digestive system slow down, but you swallow more air also, which can lead to bloating. If you feel bloated under stress, try exhaling longer than inhaling.
