MiSaMo, girl group Twice’s first sub-unit, dropped the music video for its B-side track “Marshmallow” ahead of its debut, its agency JYP Entertainment announced Friday.
MiSaMo, deriving its unit name from the three Japanese members — Mina, Sana and Momo — is the girl group’s first sub-unit that plans to debut in Japan with its first EP “Masterpiece” on July 26.
“‘Marshmellow’ mixes mellow sounds with hip-hop elements, and the fans will be able to listen to MiSaMo’s charming vocal tone,” the agency said in a press release.
To celebrate its debut, MiSaMo will hold its debut showcase, “MiSaMo Japan Showcase 2023,” in Osaka on July 22 and 23, followed by performances in Tokyo on July 25 and 27.
Twice is currently holding its fifth world tour, “Ready to Be.” Kicking off with a two-day performance in Seoul on April 15 and 16, the girl group held two performances in Sydney, Melbourne, Osaka and Tokyo in May.
The girl group is currently continuing its tour in North America, performing in Los Angeles and Oakland, California, on June 10, 12 and 12, and plans to perform in Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Toronto, New York and Atlanta until July 9.
Following its North American tour, the girl group will head to Singapore, London, Paris, Berlin, Bangkok and Bulacan, the Philippines, ending the tour with dome performances in Nagoya and Fukuoka in December.
