Global food company Nongshim has partnered with renowned chef Edward Lee to introduce a limited-edition menu featuring Shin Ramyun Tumba.

On the 10th, Nongshim America announced in a press release that Chef Lee will reinterpret the bold flavors of Shin Ramyun Tumba through exclusive dishes at his restaurant, NAMI, in Louisville, Kentucky. The collaboration will last for three months, with a new dish introduced each month.

Chef Lee, an Iron Chef America champion and a contestant on Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars, is widely known for his fusion of modern Korean cuisine with Southern flavors. His first dish, Shrimp Scampi Tumba, will debut on the 17th. It features garlic shrimp paired with a creamy chili Tumba sauce, heavy cream, cheddar, and parmesan cheese. This combination balances intense spice with smooth creaminess. In addition, perilla leaves add a fresh herbal note, complementing the dish’s bold umami flavors.

“Shin Ramyun is an iconic Korean brand, and Shin Ramyun Tumba is a modern reinterpretation of the classic,” said Lee. “I wanted to add my own touch to this product and create a unique experience for consumers.”

Since its launch in Korea last September, Shin Ramyun Tumba has sold over 25 million units in just four months, gaining strong popularity, especially among younger consumers. The product’s signature blend of Shin Ramyun spice with cheese and fresh cream has broadened its appeal across generations.

Through this collaboration, Nongshim aims to expand its presence in the K-food market. Shin Ramyun Tumba will be available at Walmart in June, further solidifying its global reach.
