“Enough, Suri. Enough, Yuki.”

With all her might, Ms. Goli pulled apart Suri and Yuki. Their faces were bruised, their teeth gritted.

“Mr. Yuki, I need to have a word with Suri first. Once I’m done with him, you can have your way.”

Sparks flew in Suri’s eyes as Ms. Goli spoke politely to Yuki.

“You’re openly favoring him just because his parents are on the school board.”

“That’s correct”

Ms.Goli responded simply.

“Never once apologizing for sleeping through every class or for being violent towards your friends, never once admitting any wrongdoing when you’ve insulted me or fabricated bizarre stories about me. Why not go all the way and claim you’re an alien? You’ll make a great con artist someday.”

Ms.Goli ground her teeth together.

“How do you know I’m really an alien? Maybe I am the key to this Megalithic civilization. The Great Suri… Oh and by the way, your role could be MacGuffin so why don’t you share everything you know? Though it’s doubtful whether there’s anything worthwhile in that head of yours.”

Suri wore a smug expression as he spoke.

“…MacGuffin?”

Ms.Goli shook her head doubtfully.

“That’s a good thing. It’s the one with the most important information, Sir”

A subtle smile spread across Suri’s face.

“That makes sense. Wasn’t the interior of that megalithic temple composed of interconnected circular chambers? They may have been ancient human dwellings or perhaps some sort of cathedral, definitely structures of significant importance.”

Ms.Goli rolled her ping-pong ball eyes from side to side.

“…Sir, that’s right, I saw those rooms, the circular chambers connected to each other. I thought you had no knowledge worth sharing, my respect for your insight has grown significantly!”

Unable to contain herself any longer, Ms.Goli picked up her whimsical hammer and slammed it down on the desk, breaking it in two. Suri gripped both sides of the split with both hands with a groan.

“Suri~”

At Ms.Goli’s roar all students simultaneously ducked under their desks.

“Sir, I have a question.”

Just then Sabi appeared seemingly out of nowhere as if she offering herself as a distraction from the escalating tension.

“Now you’re showing up, Ms. Sabi”

She spoke as if she had anticipated it.

Nervously, Sabi began to speak.

“I… I heard that there was a civilization in the Mediterranean with megalithic temples like that, and I read about it in one of my dad’s books, and it was groundbreaking discovery suggesting these weren’t built by humans”

“In Omega Library there is book named 『Winged Traveler』on 39th shelf where they keep ancient texts. On page 72, [Ballad of Sansuna], it describes circular chambers and myths about beings who built megalithic temples. According to it, some sword beings from another planet were the builders. But Suri claims to have seen it in space and even talked to headless aliens. So, there’s a megalithic civilization in space? But… the Mediterranean? In space?”

Ms.Goli didn’t seem convinced by Suri’s story.

“Why not? Did any of the lost ancient civilizations make sense? Everyone said they didn’t make sense, that there couldn’t be such a thing, blah, blah, all those cowardly polymaths. After all, I, the great Suri, figured it all out, didn’t I?”

Suri was brimming with enthusiasm.

“Then tell me the rest of the story. I’ll forgive you all your past sins so far, Mr. Sheerazad…”

Ms.Goli twirled the whimsical hammer again.

“Sir, Forgiveness? You want me to be forgiven and go to heaven? No, no, I don’t want to go to heaven, I want to go right there, to that civilization with the megalithic temples.”

Suri was so engrossed in his speech that he let go of desks on either side which he was holding. Therefore, the desks collapsed. Just then the principal appeared at the classroom door.

“Sir, how many desks are you planning on breaking ?Do you know this comes from school funds, right?”

Principal clicked his tongue. Ms.Goli’s face turned red as she tried to control her anger.

“So scary. This isn’t a human rights extermination camp is it? Why are you doing this only to me? How can you split my desk like this and guarantee the same won’t happen to me too?”

Suri pretended to be terrified and stuck his tongue out at Ms.Goli.

“Suri, come here… I… I will kill you~!”

Ms.Goli tried to get through the classroom door, but her fat body was a problem, Maru’s fat body sitting in front of the door was a problem, and the principal’s fat body standing there was a problem.

The principal tried to catch the rampaging Ms.Goli, but to no avail. Maru stepped on Ms.Goli’s foot in time to make her fall over, but in the nick of time he stepped on the principal’s foot and made him fall over.

Principal struggled to keep from falling, but Ms.Goli, already lost her head, elbowed the principal in the face and walked out. The principal fell down in the hallway. He had a nosebleed.
