Museums in Southern California are opening their doors for a day of free admission next month.

On February 28, SoCal Museums, a coalition of marketing and communications professionals representing museums across Southern California, announced the ‘Annual Free-for-All’ event this year.

On Saturday, March 23, about 40 museums throughout Southern California will participate, offering complimentary general admission as part of the event.

Among the participating institutions are the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Orange County Museum of Art, Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA).

“With museums from Long Beach to Los Angeles to Santa Barbara, there is so much to explore,” said SoCal Museums.

The offer extends to general museum admission only and does not cover specially ticketed exhibitions. Regular parking fees will still apply at participating museums.

For museum hours and additional information, visitors are encouraged to consult the website of each museum.
