Seventeen Becomes the Very First Korean Celeb to be Featured on Instagram

K-pop boy group Seventeen has been featured on Instagram’s official account,becoming the first Korean celebrity to be featured before anyone else.

On March 11, Instagram reposted a photo on the group’s official account (saythename_17), which had been uploaded on January 1. The uploaded picture features Seventeen members in stage costumes for 2016 MBC Korean Music Festival.

 

“Today, we’re hanging out with K-pop stars Seventeen while they’re on tour in Japan,” wrote Instagram. “Check out our story now to go behind the scenes as they gear up for a big performance,” the caption continued, as Instagram uploaded video coverage of the group on its Story. The video features Seventeen members behind the stages of their tour concert in Japan.

Seventeen has solidified its position as a global K-pop group, becoming the first Korean celebrities to be featured on Instagram’s official account. As of now, the post hit 806,428 likes.

Meanwhile, Seventeen has recently wrapped up its tour concerts in Japan, “17 JAPAN CONCERT Say the name #SEVENTEEN.”
