Anthem Blue Cross has recognized Seoul Medical Group (SMG) as one of California’s top healthcare providers in its inaugural Care Provider Recognition Program, the insurer announced on February 26. SMG was among 19 medical organizations nationwide to receive this distinction.

Anthem evaluates medical groups based on clinical performance and honors the top 5% within its Medicare Advantage network for excellence in patient care. The selection process considers key metrics such as preventive screenings, vaccination rates, chronic disease management, and medication adherence.

“Our physicians and staff remain committed to the well-being of patients and families who deserve compassionate care that respects their cultural needs,” said Myong Lee, CEO of SMG. “We will continue to evolve, leveraging technology and medical advancements to better serve underserved communities.”

Founded in 1993, SMG operates as an independent physician association (IPA) and currently has a network of approximately 4,800 primary care doctors and specialists.
