Operation Chromite (2016), an upcoming Korean movie featuring Liam Neeson as General Douglass MacArthur, has been confirmed to be released in North America on August 12, 2016.

Operation Chromite is a new film of Director John H. Lee, who had directed A Moment to Remember (2004) and 71: Into the Fire (2010). The film’s cast includes Lee Jung-jae, Lee Beom-soo, and Jin Se-yeon, along with Liam Neeson.

The film shows a hidden story behind the Battle of Inchon, which was an important historic event during the Korean War. The plot will include real-life stories of the heroes, who had completed an operation mission despite the 5000:1 probability of success. CJ Entertainment, the film’s distribution company said, “Operation Chromite is already gaining a lot of attention from Hollywood. We are very pleased to introduce a film that is based on a story of not only famous General MacArthur, but also those nameless heroes who fought for victory”.

Operation Chromite will be first released in July in Korea before it is released in North America.
