Nongshim made a surprise appearance in Los Angeles Koreatown to promote its flagship instant noodles, Shin Ramyun and Chapaghetti.
On August 11, Nongshim opened a food truck-based pop-up store on Melrose Avenue. The company gave away one free pack of Shin Ramyun and Chapaghetti to participants of the surprise event and provided a chance to taste the noodles.
“We planned to promote the pop-up store to introduce Nongshim’s signature products, Shin Ramyun and Chapaghetti, to more consumers,” said a company official at the event, “and many showed great response after tasting Shin Ramyun and Chapaghetti.”
Another official added, “The pop-up store was made in the form of a food truck, so we expect to have pop-up stores in various locations in the future.”
“It was my first time trying Korean instant ramen, but it was more delicious than I expected,” said a visitor at the pop-up event, adding that “I like the spicy flavor of Shin Ramyun, and Chaghetti has a sweet and unique taste.”
