NewJeans landed atop Korean streaming services with its prerelease single “Super Shy,” the girl group’s agency ADOR said Monday.

“Super Shy,” NewJeans’ latest single containing two brand new tracks, “New Jeans” and “Super Shy,” was released last Friday. Upon its release, the track first entered Melon’s Top 100 real-time streaming chart on No. 20. It climbed its way up to No. 2 the following day, finally topping the chart on Sunday, 10 p.m. “Super Shy” also topped other Korean streaming services’ real-time charts, including on Bugs, Genie and Naver Vibe.

“New Jeans,” the one-minute and 50-second long prologue track, also landed No. 2 on Bugs and Vibe’s real-time charts.

“Super Shy” is also receiving positive receptions from Spotify, with the song landing at No. 33 on its Global Daily Chart as of Saturday and No. 36 on the Daily Chart in the United States, an impressive score considering NewJeans did not conduct any official activities in the United States, according to ADOR.

NewJeans’ second EP “Get Up” will drop on July 21. The EP will contain six total tracks, “New Jeans,” “Super Shy,” “ETA,” “Cool With You,” “Get Up” and “ASAP.”

NewJeans made its debut as a five-member group — Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein — that debuted in August 2022 with EP “New Jeans” under ADOR, a newly-founded music label under HYBE, led by the former creative director of SM Entertainment, Min Hee-jin.
