NewJeans is stuck in the United States due to the grounding of flights following an air systems software glitch.

The girl group will be unable to attend the filming of a music program as a result.

“NewJeans was supposed to head back after finishing its scheduled appearances abroad,” ADOR said Thursday, which did not disclose the exact whereabouts of the five performers. “But due to a system glitch in the U.S. causing mass flight cancelations or postponements, the group is unable to come back as planned.”

“As a result, NewJeans will not be able to attend KBS’s ‘Music Bank’ or a fan autograph event planned for Friday,” the agency continued. “The announcement for fans who are selected to attend a filming of ‘Music Bank’ was planned for Thursday afternoon, but that has also been canceled.”

According to the agency, which is an HYBE label, it has been unsuccessful in booking another flight.

“We apologize to everyone who anticipated the NewJeans ‘Music Bank’ performance and autograph event,” it wrote. “We ask for your understanding. We will do our best for the artists to come back safely.”

On Tuesday at 3 p.m., the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration Notice to Air Missions computer system suffered an outage, and all U.S. flights at one point were halted. Nine-thousand flights were postponed and 1,300 were canceled as a result.
