A new women’s golf tournament named after Korean golf legend Seri Pak will launch next March in Los Angeles.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced its 2024 tour schedule on November 17. The Seri Pak LA Open will be held on March 21-24, 2024, at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, California.

It was renamed from the DIO Implant LA Open, with Pak serving as the host. The total purse for the event is $1.75 million.

The 2024 season will start with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions on January 18 in Orlando, Florida, followed by 32 additional events. With a total of 33 events, the 2024 LPGA Tour will have a total purse of $116.5 million.

The LPGA Tour surpassed $100 million in single-season prize money for the first time this year and is poised to grow even further in 2024.

The first major in the 2024 season, the Chevron Championship, will kick off on April 18 in Texas. In August, the LPGA Tour will take a break for the Paris Olympics. The women’s golf tournament in the Olympics will take place over four days starting on August 8, with players being selected based on the June 24 world rankings.

The LPGA Tour will continue for 11 months, concluding with the CME Group Tour Championship on November 21-24 next year.
