Actor Lee Jong-suk was confirmed for the lead role in upcoming fantasy television drama “While You Were Sleeping.”

The actor’s casting was unveiled by the drama’s producers, iHQ, on Monday amid casting rumors involving various actors.

The drama is highly anticipated due to the involvement of famed screenwriter Park Hye-ryeon, who previously wrote popular shows such as KBS’s Dream High, and the SBS dramas I Can Hear Your Voice and Pinocchio. Lee was also the star of both SBS shows.

“The production is off to a great start thanks to the involvement of Park, who is a favorite writer among television audiences, as well as the casting of Lee, who is a top actor,” said the show’s producers. “We will try our best to successfully round out the casting before 2017 and produce the best show possible.”

Additionally, idol singer-actress Suzy of girl group Miss A was also reported to be in talks to take the leading female role. Her agency JYP Entertainment said that the casting offer was being considered “positively.”
