K-pop boy group Beast is slated to make a comeback next month, their talent agency, Cube Entertainment, announced Wednesday.
The group is planning to unveil their third regular album, “Highlight,” on July 4.
The members proudly boasted of their upcoming songs last week through Naver’s live-streaming service, V.
It will be the first time the group has released a regular album since July 2013, when they unveiled “Hard to Love, How to Love.”
Five members have participated in the upcoming album instead of six, as the group’s former lead vocalist, Jang Hyun-seung, left the group in April, allegedly due to the wish to pursue a different music style.
Since their debut in 2009 with the mini-album “Beast is the B2ST,” the group has released numerous hit songs such as “Fiction,” “Special” and “Bad Girl.”
In addition to singing, the members have also taken on other projects. Yoon Doo-joon, for example, has taken part in a variety of drama series such as “Splash Splash Love” (2015-present) and the entertainment program “Let’s Eat with My Friend” (2015). Another member, Lee Ki-kwang, has also participated in numerous dramas, taking on minor roles in “Monster” (2016-present) and “My Princess” (2011).
