Taeil of boy band NCT was in a motorcycle accident and will suspend all activities for the time being, his agency SM Entertainment announced through the fan community Kwangya Club on Tuesday.

“Taeil was involved in a motorcycle accident while returning from his activities in the early morning hours of Tuesday and was immediately moved to a hospital where he received treatment,” SM Entertainment said in the statement on Kwangya Club. “After examination, doctors decided that he requires surgery due to a fracture in his right leg. Taeil is currently awaiting this surgery and resting.”

SM Entertainment further said that Taeil will halt all activities for the time being to focus on his treatment and recovery and that he will not be participating in the “NCT Nation: To The World” concert scheduled for Aug. 26.

“We are doing everything in our power to help Taeil focus on his recovery so that he can return to fans in full health,” SM Entertainment added.

Taeil, whose full name is Moon Tae-il, debuted in April 2016 and is a member of both NCT U and NCT 127, which are sub-units of NCT.
