The LA World Cup Poster for FIFA 2026 has been revealed, featuring a bold and dynamic design by Thieb Delaporte-Richard. His artwork blends digital painting, collage, and illustration, reflecting Los Angeles’ energy and deep connection to soccer.
A Tribute to Soccer and Creativity

The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee selected Delaporte-Richard’s design from over 900 submissions. A panel of experts, including Ann Philbin, Kristin Sakoda, Glenn Kaino, Dewey Tafoya, and Joy Simmons, judged the contest. The Annenberg Foundation played a key role in promoting participation among emerging artists.
At SoFi Stadium, where FIFA 2026 matches will take place, Delaporte-Richard presented his winning poster. Born in France, he moved to Los Angeles a decade ago, drawn to its creative scene. His passion for soccer made this opportunity particularly meaningful.
“Winning this contest is incredible,” said Delaporte-Richard. “It unites my love for soccer, my artistic journey, and a city that inspires me every day.”
His $20,000 prize recognized the winning design, while three finalists received $2,500 each. Additionally, twelve artists earned $500 for their contributions.
