In a gesture of gratitude toward those who serve the community, Dr. Winston Lee of Doctor Acupuncture in Korean Medicine has launched an initiative providing free acupuncture treatments to first responders. The announcement came during a special meeting at Fullerton City Hall attended by Mayor Fred Jung, City Manager Eric Levitt, Police Chief Jonathan Radus, and Fire Chief Adam Loeser.
The program, which coincides with Dr. Lee’s 20th anniversary in clinical practice, offers complimentary acupuncture services to full-time and reserve police officers, firefighters, military personnel, and EMTs.
“During my military service as a soldier in South Korea, I understood the sacrifices and hardships faced by those who dedicate themselves to protecting this country and communities,” Dr. Lee explained. “In celebration of my 20th year in clinical practice, I wanted to give back by supporting those who serve with the skills I have.”
Mayor Fred Jung welcomed the initiative, noting the physical demands placed on first responders. “Our police officers and firefighters often work through pain and injuries due to the nature of their jobs. We are very grateful to Dr. Lee for offering such a thoughtful and generous service to support their well-being.”
The free treatments are available by appointment only at Dr. Lee’s practice located at 2720 N. Harbor Blvd, Suite 120, in Fullerton. First responders interested in scheduling an appointment can call 714-519-3775. www.doctoracu.com
Dr. Lee’s practice specializes in Korean medicine acupuncture techniques, which he has practiced both in Korea and the United States throughout his two-decade career.
