Lee Jong-Suk Brings His First Grand Prize Home

Actor Lee Jong-suk won the Grand Prize at the 2016 MBC Drama Awards on Friday, December 30. Lee Jong-suk acted the male lead in fantasy romance drama series W.

It is an impressive achievement for him to be acknowledged with the highest honor at the awards at such a young age. Debuted as a model in 2005, Lee Jong-suk wins the first Grand Prize as an actor this year.

Drama W took Drama of the Year and Best Couple Award home as well.

Marriage Contract‘s Lee Seo-jin and Uee won in High Excellence Awards’ special production category.  In the serial drama category, Happy Home‘s Lee Sang-woo and Kim So-yeon were awarded and W‘s leads Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo won another prizes in the mini series category.

The Flower in Prison‘s leads Jin Se-yeon and Seo Ha-joon, Blow Breeze‘s Son Ho-jun and Lim Ji-yeon, Shopping King Louie‘s Seo In-guk and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo were awarded with Excellence Awards.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo‘s male lead, Nam Joo-hyuk, Lucky Romance‘s Ryu Jun-yeol, Shopping King Louie‘s Nam Ji-hyun, Monster‘s Jo Bo-ah won Best New Actor and Actress Awards.
