LA City Council commemorates 78th anniversary of Korea’s liberation

The Los Angeles City Council convened a significant event on August 11 to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule. The event brought together over 60 members of the U.S. West Coast Chapter of the Korean Liberation Association, descendants of independence fighters, the Los Angeles Consulate General, and Korean American organizations. The gathering aimed to honor the independence movement against Japanese colonial rule and reflect on the 78 years of history that ensued.
