The LA Koreatown Senior & Community Center will host its Food Bank program on August 27.
According to the center, the August Food Bank, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Department of Agriculture, will take place at 9 a.m. in front of the Senior Center’s main entrance.
This program is aimed at seniors aged 60 and above, with monthly incomes not exceeding $1,632 for a single-person household or $2,215 for a two-person household.
The Food Bank will serve the first 224 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must bring identification to verify their age and a cart or carrier to transport their food box. While someone else may collect food on behalf of a participant, they must visit together on the first occasion.
The food items provided will include fruits, juice, vegetables, milk, cheese, grains, and protein. The next Food Bank event is scheduled for September 17 at 1 p.m.
