
A wine from Korean-owned Dana Estates has been ranked among the world’s top 10 best wines.
The Napa Valley’s Dana Estates Lotus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has earned a spot in the top 10 with an average score of 95 out of 100 points, according to the latest list of the Best Cabernet Sauvignon Wines released by wine-searcher, a leading wine search platform.
Wine-searcher has been evaluating the Dana Cabernet Sauvignon since its 2006 vintage. Over 14 years, the wine has achieved a score of 95 or higher on 10 occasions, including a high of 99 points in 2016, 98 points in 2015 and 2018, and 97 points in 2013-14. This is the first time Dana Cabernet Sauvignon has made the Top 10 list.
Lotus Vineyards has gained renown for its exceptional wines, earning seven 100-point scores from prominent critics such as the world-renowned Robert Parker.
Dana Estate, established in 2005 by Hi-Sang Lee, former chairman of DongA One Group, owns a winery building originally founded by H.W. Helms in 1883 and later remodeled by Lee.
Dana wines are featured in high-end restaurants and first-class airline meals nationwide and have been showcased at international events, including the U.S.-South Korea summit in South Korea in May 2022.
