Ascend Partners, the private equity firm that previously acquired Seoul Medical Group (SMG), has now completed its acquisition of Korean American Medical Group (KAMG). This move strengthens Ascend’s presence in Korean American healthcare.
Ascend Expands Korean American Healthcare Network
On March 4, Ascend announced that it had finalized a partnership agreement with KAMG. The deal includes capital investment, operational support, and clinical resource integration. Despite the acquisition, KAMG and SMG will continue to operate independently. Existing patients will not see immediate changes.
Leaders Express Confidence in the Partnership
James Han, CEO of KAMG, welcomed the partnership. He stated, “This collaboration will expand our medical network and strengthen support for healthcare professionals. It will also improve services for the Korean community.”
Richard Park, CEO of Ascend, emphasized their commitment. He said, “We are dedicated to working with KAMG to build a trusted healthcare environment for the Korean community.”
KAMG: A Leading Independent Healthcare Provider
Founded in 1989, KAMG is the largest independent physician network serving Korean American patients. It has over 70 primary care doctors and 400 specialists. Ascend expects the acquisition to improve service quality and offer better healthcare solutions.
