Two Korean-American sisters in their twenties have been indicted for forging and cashing stolen checks while working as nannies.
The Cary Police Department in North Carolina announced the arrest of Juyeong Han (26) and Jiyeong Han (24). Jiyeong is charged with two counts each of felony identity theft and felony obtaining property under false pretense. She also faces felony charges for forging a document.
Her sister, Juyeong Han, 26, of Morrisville, is charged with two felony counts of conspiracy to obtain property under false pretense and two counts of misdemeanor larceny.

According to police reports, the sisters were employed as nannies in a household where both parents are doctors. In November 2024, they allegedly stole a check belonging to the couple, falsely wrote an amount of $5,084, and deposited it into their account.
Local media WRAL reported that the victims had hired the Han sisters through Nanny Lane, a specialized online platform for finding childcare providers.
On the Nanny Lane website, the elder sister listed five years of nanny experience and claimed to be a certified nursing assistant (CNA). The younger sister stated she was a nursing student with five years of nanny experience and also mentioned she provided online tutoring for children.
