Korean Air LA lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is undergoing a full renovation. The airline is redesigning the space with a Los Angeles-inspired theme, upgrading amenities, and improving passenger services. This project is part of a broader effort to enhance Korean Air lounges worldwide.
As Korean Air prepares for its Asiana Airlines integration, it is also upgrading lounges at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Incheon International Airport Terminal 2. At Incheon, two new Prestige Class Garden Lounges will open in the east and west wings. Meanwhile, the First Class Lounge and Prestige Class Lounge in the west wing will undergo renovations and reopen in April 2026.
Passengers using Korean Air lounges will also experience better dining options. Live kitchens will serve fresh meals, while bartenders and baristas will prepare cocktails, specialty drinks, and premium coffee. Additionally, bakeries will offer croissants, pizzas, and desserts. A signature noodle bar will provide freshly made dishes.
To improve accessibility, Korean Air is updating its mobile app. The new feature will allow travelers to check Korean Air lounges for real-time details on locations, amenities, reservations, and crowd levels.
The airline is also upgrading its onboard experience. Korean Air will introduce Premium Economy, retrofitting 11 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. To make room for the new seating, First Class cabins will be removed.
The first retrofitted aircraft will enter service in late 2025, featuring a three-class configuration: Prestige (Business), Premium Economy, and Economy. The Premium Economy expansion will continue through 2026, increasing availability on more routes.
