KITA Selects Its First Scholarship Students

The Korean Investors and Traders Association (KITA) is selecting its first class of middle, high school and college students to receive scholarships.
The KITA has more than 130 businesses as its members and is actively representing those headquartered in South Korea.

Starting with last year’s golf tournament, the KITA has hosted the tournament twice a year to raise funds for the scholarships. The funds collected at those events have been entirely been put into supporting the students.

The KITA also plans to establish a foundation in the future to continue to support the students on top of offering its annual scholarships. The total sum of annual scholarships is expected to be around $30,000.

The first class of scholarship recipients this year, consisting of about 30 to 40 students, will earn about $500 to $1,000 each. Ethnic Korean students with a grade point average of 3.3 or higher are eligible to apply. Students with financial difficulties will be prioritized for selection.

The application is available between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30. More information is available on the KITA website (www.kita.com) and via email (info@kita.com).
