K-Pop Artist Choi Siwon Apologizes for the Death of Restaurant CEO

Few hours after the news about Hanilkawn CEO’s death caused by a dog bite was released, it was revealed that the dog belongs to Choi Siwon’s family.

On October 21, Choi Siwon, a member of K-pop boy group Super Junior, uploaded an apology on his Instagram, regarding the fatal incident. Previously, the artist’s father Choi Ki-ho shared a lengthy Instagram post, admitting his responsibility for the incident.

In the post, the artist writes how he feels responsible for Kim’s death. “I feel much responsible as a member of the family raising the dog,” Choi writes. “I’m reflecting deeply for failing to keep close supervisions, which in such a horrible incident.”

“This is Choi Siwon. I bow my head once again to apologize to the bereaved family, who must be suffering from the great shock of losing a family member. I recently heard about the incident involving my family dog and I feel deeply apologetic. I offer my sincere condolences to the deceased and the family of him.I feel much responsible as a member of the family raising the dog. I’m reflecting deeply for failing to keep close supervisions, which in such a horrible incident. I will make sure this kind of incident doesn’t happen again. I apologize for the concerns. May he rest in peace.”

 

According to JTBC’s exclusive report, Kim, the owner of much celebrated Korean restaurant Hanilkwan, died of sepsis after he was bitten by a dog on September 30. The dog revealed to be Choi Siwon’s family dog was reportedly unleashed at the time of the incident.
