
K-Donut shop opening its first U.S. location in LA
Café Knotted, a popular Seoul-based dessert brand, is launching its first U.S. store in Los Angeles on April 12. The K-Donut shop opening marks the company’s official debut in the American market.
The brand sells about 30,000 donuts daily in South Korea.
Century City to host two-day opening event
The store will open at Westfield Century City (10250 Santa Monica Blvd), with events scheduled for April 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
To kick off the launch, Café Knotted will give two free donuts—including its signature Milk Cream Donut—to the first 100 guests each day. Customers will also receive one limited-edition gift, such as a Sugar Bear plush, tumbler, or keyring.
In addition, visitors who buy a chocolate chip cookie will get a second one free.
Giveaways include BLACKPINK VIP tickets
During the event, the brand will hold a raffle. Two winners will walk away with either a $500 Café Knotted gift card or two VIP tickets to a BLACKPINK concert.
Korean donut brand aims for U.S. growth
Café Knotted launched in 2017 under South Korean food group GFFG. It quickly gained a following for its cream-stuffed donuts, bright store interiors, and mascots like Smiley and Sugar Bear.
The brand built a loyal fanbase across Millennials and Gen Z. Now, with its K-Donut shop opening in LA, it hopes to capture a similar audience in the U.S.
