‘Walkcar’, which is a laptop-sized small ‘car’ developed by Japan’s Cocoa Motors, is available for pre-orders now.

Orders can be placed from 13 countries including North America and Europe and on the website (http://www.cocoamotors.com). Shipping will start from September next year.

Walkcar is the size of a 13 inch regular laptop, and its weight is only 2.8kg. The car is more like a skateboard to be called as a ‘car’, but it auto drives and has lithium ion battery installed.

One of the main strengths of Walkcar is portability. It is small and light, so you can carry it in a bag.

The maximum speed per hour is 6.2 miles, and with 3 hours of battery charging, it can go up to 7.4 miles. It is made out of carbon material, and you can control the direction of tires by controlling your weight.

Cocoa Motors has set less than 265 lbs. as the maximum user’s weight, and suggested the age of 18 to 50. The price is $1280.
