Hyundai Mobis is the current leader in technological innovation output, winning global awards in the sector. The company has won Innovation Awards for its swivel display technology, new concept rear wheel suspension technology, brainwave-based driver monitoring system, and 25-inch widescreen head-up display (HUD) at CES 2023 held in Las Vegas in January. Its swivel display technology features both up and down-moving structures with a super-sized curved screen, as well as new concept rear wheel suspension technology with lightweight use of brainwave to provide much greater security, and local dimming to present high image quality of HUD were all noted for their mobility innovation technologies. After winning four Innovation Awards this year, Hyundai Mobis proved its worldwide competitiveness while its swivel display technology and wide-screen HUD was directly unveiled to global clients at the CES 2023 booth.

Hyundai Mobis has also been chosen for its Rear Wheel Steering System by Automotive News as a PACEpilot Innovation to Watch at an awards ceremony last year. Its innovative technology enables precise and stable vehicle control, particularly in electric vehicles, and it was the only Asian company’s technology to be selected. Since top global technology companies compete in the PACE Awards, Hyundai Mobis’ award receives significant recognition.

Hyundai Mobis’ technological innovations have seen breathtaking performances even in internal groups. Last year, its three technologies were chosen as the finalists at the Hyundai Motor Group management innovation idea competition. A total of 4,487 ideas, including from 20 affiliates of Hyundai Motor Group, were submitted and among them, the final nine winners were selected, of which three were Hyundai Mobis technology. Given that 30 percent of all award winners were Hyundai Mobis’, its groundbreaking R&D competitive power is also emphasized within the group.

Hyundai Mobis will take another leap forward continuing its innovation activities. It plans to encourage executives and employees to develop creative and innovative ideas while procuring innovative technologies preemptively which is necessary for future mobility services with their technology development capabilities.
