How to make extra cash by taking online surveys with GPT sites

[Earning pocket money: GPT]
GPT sites have been around since the early days of the internet, and I’m not talking about generative AI, ChatGPT. Get Paid To (GPT) websites allow users to earn money for a variety of online tasks, from watching ads to signing up for a website.

I recently decided to try out a GPT website that specializes in surveys and has been aggressively marketing itself. Signing up was pretty easy. If you have a Google or Facebook account, it takes less than a minute. Shortly after signing up, it gave a welcome bonus of 200 points, equivalent to $2. Once I filled in my income, race, age, and more, it showed me a series of surveys based on the information I gave.

There are enough surveys to keep you busy all day. Each survey gives you a different amount of points. I clicked on the survey with the most point rewards. The first few questions were not survey questions but simple quizzes. They’re about arithmetic and English vocabulary. It seems like they want to test if the user has a certain level of English proficiency to complete the survey.

The survey questions themselves aren’t difficult to answer. No questions require deep thinking. The first one was about supplements. It’s a simple questionnaire that asks what kind of supplements I usually take and if I know a particular brand. What’s interesting is that there are short quizzes in between the survey questions.
This is probably to prevent people from rushing through the survey and just clicking without looking to only claim the reward at the end. The survey said it would take 15 minutes, but I was done in less than 10 minutes. A total of 206 points had accumulated in my account.
The next survey asked me about my political stance. The questions were fairly in-depth, ranging from which political party I support to my assessment of their policies. It took me about 10 minutes and earned me 70 points.

I was spurred on to take more surveys, but it wasn’t that easy afterward. Users have to answer a question before the survey starts, and if it turns out that they are not the target audience for the survey, they cannot participate. In some cases, I completed the survey but couldn’t receive points because it said it did not trust my answers or did not need them.

You have to earn enough points to redeem points for gift cards like Starbucks and Amazon.

The good thing about the GPT is that it’s easy to sign up and get started. It does not require any training, so it could be a good way to make extra bucks in your spare time.

The downside is that the points you can earn are inconsistent – sometimes you can make as much as $15 an hour, but if you don’t find the well-paying survey, you might only make $5 for an hour of answering questions. It can be frustrating when you don’t get rewarded with enough points for your work.

Certainly, people cannot make a fortune just by taking surveys. You cannot do it for a living, and it’s not as efficient as other online money-makers. But it can be the most casual way to make money. If you think of it as earning a free coffee, it might not be too bad for a casual job.
