Dating rumors between actors Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol sparked after the two were spotted in Hawaii together. Later, it was found that Ryu Jun-yeol’s ex-lover, Hye-ri, and Han So-hee had posted Instagram stories that appeared to fuel a nervous battle.
A post in Japanese with the caption “popular Korean actors are next to me at the hotel pool” and the tags “‘Reply 1988′” and “‘Nevertheless'” went viral on the morning of March 15 (KST). It did not contain a picture of the two together and was deleted by afternoon of March 15.
Both Han and Ryu’s agencies responded to the rumors later that day. While confirming that the two were in Hawaii, Han’s agency stated the two were “not dating.”

Just a few hours after the dating rumor about Ryu and Han broke out, Hye-ri uploaded a picture with the caption “It’s interesting/funny.”
The palm tree in the photo and the caption “It’s interesting/funny” led many to speculate whether Hye-ri was expressing a grudge against the dating rumor involving Ryu and Han. It was revealed that Hye-ri had unfollowed Ryu on Instagram shortly after posting the story.

Han So-hee addressed the matter on Instagram Stories in a way that seemed to directly refute the scandal:
“Describe this situation now.
I don’t like people who are already in relationships, I don’t leave the door open in the name of friendship, I don’t give them feelings, I don’t attach my relationship status to them, and I don’t interfere in other people’s relationships.
I like watching ‘EXchange,’ but they’re not in my life.
I am also interested/funny.”

“It is true that Ryu Jun-yeol is currently staying in Hawaii to take photos,” said Ryu’s agency, C-JeS Entertainment.
“Please respect the fact that it is not part of the actor’s public schedule but a personal trip.”
“We will not separately respond to such eyewitness accounts in the future,” C-JeS Entertainment added.
Han’s agency, 9ATO Entertainment, stated that Han had “gone on a trip with close girlfriends” for her “first vacation since her debut.” She is not dating Ryu, the agency informed local media outlets, and also requested respect for the actor’s privacy.
