The 337 voters for next year’s Golden Globe Awards have been revealed, and this year’s list of voters includes six Koreans: Jeong Kim, Eun Seon Ha, Hyunju Jo, Dohoon Kim, Jaewon Sheol, and Hyeongguk Song.
The Golden Globe Awards recognize excellence in motion pictures and television over the past year. The awards recently significantly expanded their list of international voting members.
Jeong Kim, a seasoned critic with over 40 years of experience in film, television, and pop culture, has been named among the 2025 voters. Kim is a movie critic for the Korea Daily.
Since graduating from university, Kim has worked as a journalist and critic for various media outlets, gaining extensive knowledge and experience. He has covered the movie and music industries since his time as a reporter for the Dong-A Ilbo and has also served as a Hollywood correspondent for Sports Seoul.
At IBS, an overseas Korean community channel, Kim was responsible for producing Hollywood-related news programs. He was promoted to editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine ‘Komerican’ after three years as a staff writer. His writings are often featured in magazines specializing in art and film, and for many years, he contributed articles on art, culture, film, and theater to the monthly Korean magazine Arts World.
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 5, 2025, with nominations set to be announced on December 9, 2024.
