A series of concerts by world-class soprano Sumi Jo will be held on the West Coast, including Los Angeles, next month to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the U.S.-Korea alliance.
The Consulate General of Seattle and the Consulate General of San Francisco announced on July 5 that the concerts will be held at Benaroya Hall in Seattle on Aug. 3, Herbst Theatre in San Francisco on Aug. 6, and Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles on Aug. 11.
The concerts, which mark the 70th anniversary of the U.S.-Korea alliance and the 120th anniversary of Korean immigration to the U.S., are sponsored by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle and San Francisco, and the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles.
World-class soprano Sumi Jo will be performing Korean songs and major famous arias at the concert. The performance is free of charge.
Detailed information about the concert, such as ticketing, will be released next week.
