Pattie Lee, the former spokesperson for the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, has filed a lawsuit against current District Attorney Pamela Price.

In March, Lee sent a letter to the DA’s office highlighting DA Price’s derogatory remarks towards Asian Americans and her unjust termination.

According to the Alameda County Superior Court, Lee has filed a lawsuit against DA Price and the county government, alleging seven counts including racial discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and unpaid wages.

The lawsuit was filed on June 12 in the court.

The plaintiff’s attorney, Nicholas Roxborough, argued in the complaint that Lee frequently heard racially disparaging remarks from supervisors while working at the DA’s office. He claimed that DA Price made continuous and public derogatory comments about Asian Americans.

The plaintiff submitted evidence including a complaint to the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) and emails.

According to the complaint, Lee expressed concerns about the DA’s public records disclosure policy and was suddenly terminated last December.

The plaintiff’s attorney asserted in the complaint that DA Price has repeatedly said her enemies are the media and Asians and that Lee experienced clear anti-Asian sentiment during her time at the DA’s office.

Pamela Price, who is currently facing a recall due to her radical judicial reform policies, is expected to be further impacted by this lawsuit.
