Former 2NE1 Member Minzy Releases the First Song Since Her Departure

Singer Gong Minzy is joining MBC Drama series Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People as a singer of soundtrack. The upcoming release marks the first solo since the singer’s departure from the recently disbanded group 2NE1.

“Former 2NE1 member Gong Minzy has been selected as the fourth singer to sing the soundtrack for Rebel, following Jeon In-gwon, Ahn Ye-eun, and Yoo Sung-eun,” announced the production agency of Rebel‘s soundtrack, Snow Entertainment, on March 4.

“I Wanted to Love,” produced by composer Shin Jae-hong, is a ballad song embellished with Minzy’s powerful yet delicate vocal.

Releasing the soundtrack on March 7 at noon, the singer is presenting her fans with a surprise treat previous to her solo debut.
