A new self-serve ramen shop has opened in LA’s Koreatown and is creating a buzz on social media.

Located near Wilshire Boulevard and Normandie Avenue, Slurp & Sip offers a unique self-serve experience where customers can select their favorite ramen and personalize it with a variety of toppings.

The shop’s popularity on social media is partly due to its unique ramen machine, a concept popularized in Korean convenience stores, especially as cook-your-own instant ramen.

“The ramen machine ensures that the ramen is cooked to perfect taste by maintaining the optimal amount and temperature of water,” according to the shop on Yelp. “Customers can experience the fun of cooking their own ramen, and they can enjoy a quick and satisfying meal.”

In addition to ramen, the store also features protein shakes, smoothies and freshly squeezed juices from fruits and vegetables. The ramen is priced between $5.99 and $6.99 and can be topped with a selection of fresh vegetables at no extra charge.
