A California horse accident left a young boy injured after a woman pulled a horse’s tail during a riding lesson. The Daly City Police Department announced on March 3 that they arrested Tomasa Panjojleon (29), a San Francisco resident, on felony charges. If convicted, she could face up to six years in prison.

The incident occurred on February 28 at Thornton Beach Recreation Area. The boy was taking a lesson at Ocean View Stables when Panjojleon allegedly grabbed the horse’s tail. The sudden action caused the horse to react, throwing the boy to the ground. She fled before police arrived, but officers identified and arrested her on March 1.

The boy’s family shared a video of the accident on social media. They stated he suffered multiple bruises from the fall. His helmet prevented a concussion, but he injured his right ankle and struggled to walk for a week.
