Bank of Hope donates $100,000 and launches relief measures for wildfire victims

Bank of Hope announced a donation of $100,000 and additional relief measures on January 23 to assist victims of recent wildfires. The bank has contributed $100,000 to the United Way’s wildfire response fund and plans to match employee donations dollar for dollar.

CEO Kevin Kim explained the donation, stating, “As a bank headquartered in Los Angeles, it is our duty to support victims with immediate aid and long-term rebuilding efforts.”

In addition to the donation, Bank of Hope has launched a comprehensive LA Wildfire Relief Plan to assist affected individuals and businesses:

  • SBA Disaster Support Assistance
    The bank has set up a dedicated email, SBAWildfireAssist@bankofhope.com, to help customers apply for Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster support programs online. Bank of Hope customers will receive guidance on the application process and document preparation.
  • Mortgage Relief for Homeowners
    Mortgage customers whose homes were destroyed or damaged can consult with the bank about options such as payment deferrals.

Kim noted, “While none of our branches or facilities have been directly impacted, our staff is actively reaching out to customers to provide the support they need. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and prioritize helping our community and customers during this time.”
