Girl group aespa’s latest album became a double million-seller in just two weeks after its release, agency SM Entertainment announced Monday.

“My World,” aespa’s EP released on May 8, sold 2,011,388 copies as of Sunday, a record number for the girl group.

The album set multiple records for the girl group, becoming the most pre-ordered album of aespa with over 1.8 million pre-orders, the most-sold K-pop girl group album on the first day of its release with more than 1.37 million copies and the most-sold K-pop girl group album on the first week of its release with 1.69 million copies.

According to SM, this is an impressive feat achieved by an EP.

Lead track “Spicy” is being received positively, landing No. 1 on Korean music streaming services’ real-time chart, including Melon, Genie and Bugs.

It also won trophies on weekly music shows, including cable network Mnet’s “M Countdown” (2004-), KBS2’s “Music Bank” (1998-), MBC’s “Show! Music Core” (2005-) and SBS’s “Inkigayo” (1998-).

The band will be the first K-pop group to attend the 76th Cannes International Film Festival’s red-carpet event as the official global ambassador of Swiss luxury house Chopard. It is also set to perform at The Governor’s Ball Music Festival 2023 in New York on June 10.

aespa will also continue “SYNK: HYPER LINE,” the girl group’s first tour, at 14 more stops across the United States, South America and Europe.
