Stamp cards that are used at coffee shops, juice bars, and markets are smarter now. ‘Stamp cards’ target frequent customers by giving them a stamp if they purchase certain minimum amounts, and provide free drinks or gifts when they receive enough stamps. However, these stamp cards are usually small name cards size, so they are easy to lose. Also, getting a free coffee after visiting the coffee shop at least 10 times is not really a big deal, so most customers participate a few times and eventually forget.
Recently, a Korean digital solutions company ‘Elephant Stamp’ developed a smartphone app for collecting stamp cards. Simply put stamp cards into your smartphone, and use the WiFi technology to get a stamp on the screen.
NavyZeabra’s manager Steve Hong, who developed such technology said, “From a customer’s perspective, it is very convenient because you don’t have to worry about losing the stamp cards and simply collect a variety of cards and put them on your smartphone”. Hong continued and said, “Also, from a business’s perspective, they can expand their services or understand customer tendencies. We acquired a patent in a few countries including the U.S., and it is expected that businesses that need customers big data can effectively use it by adding more options.”
NavyZeabra is currently preparing to launch ‘Elephant Stamp’ in March. Manager Hong explained, “After launching, customers can download our app from the app stores on Apple or Android. Businesses can give stamps to customers by using our special stamp.”Yet, businesses need to pay member fees and monthly fees.
