K-pop girl group Twice took the top spot on eight major music charts with the release of their latest single “TT” off of their newest mini-album “TWICEcoaster:LANE1” on Monday.
The group managed to top charts on Melon, Mnet, Genie, Bugs, Naver Music and Soribada. The official music video for their latest single has tallied 3.4 million views within 14 hours of its uploading.
“Thank you for your love and support for our comeback,” the girl group said in a media release. “We will try our hardest to continue working hard to show the best versions of ourselves.”
Their latest single was written and composed by Black Eyed Pilseung, who previously produced the group’s hit singles “Like Ooh-Ahh” and “Cheer Up.”
Ever since their debut in 2015, the girl group has been enjoying success and breaking records. The music video for their first single was the most-viewed debut for a girl group, and their second mini-album has so far been the best-selling girl group record of 2016.
