Post Malone (29, legal name Austin Richard Post) has entered a legal dispute with his Korean American former fiancée over the custody of their 2-year-old daughter, intensifying public interest in the Post Malone custody dispute.

On April 15, 2025, entertainment outlet US Weekly reported that Post Malone filed a custody petition with a court in Utah. In response, his ex-fiancée, Jamie Park (Hee-Seong), filed a separate petition with the Los Angeles Superior Court on April 17, 2025.
According to court documents, Park is seeking joint legal custody but sole physical custody of the child, while agreeing to allow Post Malone visitation rights.
The couple’s daughter was born on May 26, 2022, and her initials were listed as “DDP” in legal documents obtained by Page Six. In June 2022, Post Malone had announced on social media that he had become a father and was engaged, though he did not disclose the fiancée’s name at the time.
The couple had reportedly lived together in Salt Lake City, Utah, co-parenting their daughter. The identity of Park as the former fiancée was confirmed only through the current legal proceedings. Although she had been active as a social media influencer, this marks the first time her full name was made public. After her Korean American identity became known, Korean fans gave Post Malone the nickname “Po-Seo-Bang,” a playful term meaning “Mr. Post” in a familial and humorous style.
The Post Malone custody dispute gained further attention after TMZ reported that the two separated in late 2024. Since then, Post Malone has reportedly begun dating Christy Lee, a student at a fashion school in New York.
As of now, neither party has released a public statement on the custody case. The legal process surrounding the Post Malone custody dispute remains ongoing.
