Korean artist Anna Park has joined Lehmann Maupin, becoming the youngest artist represented by the global contemporary art gallery.

Youngest Artist at Lehmann Maupin

Anna Park (28) now holds the distinction of being the youngest artist on Lehmann Maupin’s roster. Art industry outlet Artsy reports that Park will stage her first solo show with the gallery in London in 2026.

Satirical Works with a Critical Lens

Known for her large charcoal and ink drawings, Park explores themes of gender, identity, and cultural consumption. She pulls from advertising and film, reworking familiar scenes into raw, gestural black-and-white compositions. The results are bold, satirical, and socially charged.

David Maupin, co-founder of the gallery, said Park’s work “examines the social pressure placed on women in media through a feminist lens.” He added, “Lehmann Maupin backs artists who challenge convention. Today, more than half of our program features pioneering women like Anna.”

From Daegu to New York

Born in Daegu, South Korea, in 1996, Park immigrated to the U.S. as a child and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned a BFA from Pratt Institute in 2017 and an MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2020.

Since then, her career has moved fast. She’s held solo exhibitions at Half Gallery in New York, BLUM in Tokyo, and the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah. In September 2023, her show Look, look. Anna Park ran at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

In Major Museum Collections

Park’s work has entered major collections, including the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, K11 Art Foundation in Hong Kong, and Institute of Contemporary Art Miami.
