A special “Smart Cancer Screening” event will take place on Saturday, February 22, starting at 9 a.m at the first floor of the Korea Daily building (690 Wilshire Pl, Los Angeles). This advanced blood-based test can detect eight major types of cancer, including stomach, lung, liver, colorectal, prostate, breast, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers.

Developed and patented by Seoul National University Hospital, the “Smart Cancer Screening” test is reportedly twice as accurate as conventional cancer detection methods.

Nonprofit organization Happy Village has been offering this program regularly since 2015, providing early cancer detection screenings to approximately 1,900 individuals to date. The screening method does not require invasive procedures such as endoscopy or biopsies. Instead, a specialized test analyzes blood samples to detect potential cancer risks.

The Bio-Cancer Center at Seoul National University College of Medicine processes the collected blood samples by isolating serum and examining 19 biomarkers associated with cancer. Each test result undergoes verification by two physicians before being sent directly to the participant, allowing for a precise health assessment and potential early cancer prevention.

The cost of the screening is $380 per person, and tests are conducted by appointment only. For more information, interested individuals can contact Happy Village.
