BLACKPINK’s Jennie and aespa will be recognized at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards, an annual event honoring influential female artists, executives, and industry leaders. The ceremony, hosted by Laverne Cox, is set for March 29 at YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.

Jennie, who rose to global prominence as a member of BLACKPINK, will receive the Global Force Award, which recognizes artists who have made a significant impact on the international music scene. She is preparing to release her debut solo album, Ruby, on March 7, following the success of her recent single, “Love Hangover.”

Aespa, the four-member K-pop group under SM Entertainment, will be honored as Group of the Year. The award follows a year of expanded global promotions, including the release of their debut studio album, Armageddon, in May 2024. The group also collaborated with Grimes on a remix of their single “Supernova” and has continued to build a presence in the U.S. market.

Jennie and aespa are among several honorees spanning genres including pop, R&B, Latin, and country. Other artists recognized this year include Erykah Badu (Icon Award), Gracie Abrams (Songwriter of the Year), and Tyla (Impact Award). Billboard will announce additional performers and presenters in the coming weeks.

“The 2025 Billboard Women in Music celebrates the incredible women who continue to drive innovation, inspire change, and reshape the future of music,” Dana Droppo, Billboard’s chief brand officer, said in a statement.

A limited number of early access tickets will be available for purchase beginning Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. PT, with general sales opening on February 13 via Ticketmaster. Prices start at $89.
