A home that withstood the Eaton Fire in Altadena, which destroyed or damaged more than 6,000 properties, has hit the market for $2.68 million.
According to real estate news outlet The Real Deal, the single-family home, built in 1963, was listed for sale on Feb. 4. Located at 2966 Jane Grey Terrace, the property sits about an eight-minute drive from Eaton Canyon, where the wildfire started.
The house features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with 2,303 square feet of living space on a 1.37-acre lot. It also includes a central heating and cooling system.

The home last sold for $2.495 million in July 2022. It was relisted in June 2023 for $2.88 million but failed to sell. The price was adjusted twice before being relisted at its current asking price.
The property has drawn attention for remaining intact in the middle of a wildfire-ravaged area. With its orange Spanish tile roof and lush landscaping, the home stands in sharp contrast to the surrounding burn scars.
Large windows and high ceilings offer panoramic views of the Los Angeles skyline and nearby mountains. The living room includes a fireplace, while the kitchen is outfitted with high-end appliances and spacious countertops.
The listing is being handled by agents Stacey Li and Xiao Cathy Li of SoCal Premier Properties.
