This year’s KCON LA will get a primetime broadcast on U.S. commercial broadcaster The CW Network, becoming the first K-pop festival to earn a spot in the coveted time slot, according to the festival’s organizer CJ ENM.

KCON LA’s M Countdown stage performances will be broadcast live across the United States on July 28 at 8 p.m., KCON organizer CJ ENM said Friday.

The lineup for the performances on the M Countdown stage on July 28 includes girl group STAYC, boy bands ZeroBaseOne and NCT 127, singer Jeon Somi and rapper Zico.

“Viewers will be able to enjoy a series of overwhelming performances on TV at the same time, as artists who are also attracting global attention perform and engage with fans,” said CJ ENM in a press release on Friday.

“With this agreement with CW, we will be able to showcase the unique stages of KCON LA 2024 across the United States, the world’s largest music market,” said Shin Hyung-kwan, head of the music content business at CJ ENM, in a press release on Friday. “This historic broadcast will be an opportunity to introduce a festival where K-pop artists, who are creating a global sensation, and fans who love K-pop, come together and interact.”

KCON is a global K-pop festival hosted and organized by CJ ENM. It has been held in the United States, Japan, Thailand, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. Since 2012, KCON has introduced K-pop artists to the United States market.

Last year, CJ ENM formed a media partnership with major U.S. radio broadcaster iHeartMedia for KCON LA and conducted joint promotions through five music broadcasting channels on the KIIS-FM channel.
